Following a successful pilot campaign in 2012, KMF's Young Engineer of the Year competition has grown from strength to strength.
The project is all about inspiring our next generation, promoting Engineering as a viable career path and promoting Apprenticeships. Overtime the project has become embedded into our local schools and KMF work closely to enrich Design & Technology departments and bring Engineering to life.

This year we are 3D printing .... Year 10 students have been challenged to design a gadget. They will DESIGN, PITCH and PRINT their gadget in a Gadget Show meets Dragon's Den process.
There are 24 schools involved this year, each school has been provided with a MakerBot Z18 and will work to meet the following milestones:
November 28th – Ideas Concept submitted to KMF
January 28th – Enterprise, Sales, Pitch Event at Newcastle Under Lyme College
March 12th – Gadget Show meets Dragons' Den at Britannia Stadium
June 18th – The Final at Britannia Stadium
