New horizontal machining capacity for KMF
Following consistent growth and increased demand for milled components, subcontract CNC machining firm KMF Precision Engineering has invested in a brand-new Mazak HCN 5000 Horizontal Machining Centre.
The investment comes as a result of increased demand from the aerospace and defence sectors and the successful acquisition of a large new customer servicing the height safety industry.
The new horizontal milling machine centre, which was recently installed at KMF's machining facility in Staffordshire, comes equipped with smooth technology, a new concept for the programming and control of complex, multi-axis machine tools.
Smooth technology will provide enhanced functionality, speed and ergonomics, to deliver shortened machining times and improve operations such as full simultaneous five-axis machining and complex mould machining.
